I haven't forgotten about my 30 post project. Good thing I didn't try to do this in 30 days, I would have been a total failure.
Post 9: Ten songs that come up on iPod shuffle. Well-this is my spin on things since I don't own an Ipod. I discovered Pandora recently and I fell in love. I even cancelled my way too expensive XM membership. My favorite channel is the 80's channel. Here are the first 15 songs that came up on Pandora.
1) In the Air Tonight-Phil CollinsI just love this song, especially that powerful drum solo.
2) Don't Dream It's Over-Crowded HouseThis song reminds me of the movie The Stand, it plays in a scene with Molly Ringwald and I have always thought of it since then.
3) When Doves Cry-PrincePrince is amazing. This song reminds me of the movie Purple Rain and that movie reminds me of my brother. He was a fan and we watched this movie a million times.
4) Owner of a Lonely Heart-YesI love the "Ows" in the song and the rippin guitar solos
5) I Love Rock and Roll-Joan JettThis song reminds me of being in Elementary School
6) Everyone Wants to Rule the World-Tears for FearsTears for Fears is one of those quintasential 80's bands, awesome
7) Sweet Child O'Mine-Guns and RosesMy brother used to have the basement to himself and he had this awesome stereo system and when he was out on the weekends, I would go down there and listen to his music. He had this 2 part CD and I used to jam out to this CD. This song reminds me of him and of that time.
8) Eye of the Tiger-SurvivorThis reminds me of my 10th grade Chemistry teacher, what a dork..he used to turn off the lights, play this song, and do experiments in front of the class. In retrospective I am sure he was just trying to get us excited about science-but all it did was make me laugh.
9) Jessie's Girl-Rick SpringfieldAnother classic 80s tune..I love the line "I feel so guilty when they start talking cute, I wanna tell her that I love her but the point is probably mute"
10)Every Little Thing She Does is Magic-The PoliceThe Police is one of my favorite bands, their greatest hits CD is awesome. My favorite song is "King of Pain"...but I LOVE this song too..especially after last year's So You Think You Can Dance's performance to this song.

11) You Spin Me-Dead or AliveThis reminds me of a time with my cousin's Jessica and Stephanie-riding the Music Express at Lagoon...how appropriate is that
12) Take On Me-AhaThis has to be one of THE songs of the 8o's. The song reminds me of the ground breaking video, and the lead singer who looks like Val Kilmer...so this song reminds me of Val Kilmer
13)867-5309-Tommy TutoneThe only phone number we ALL know
14)Any Way You Want It-JourneyNot my favorite Journey song, but Journey rocks
15)Rebel Yell-Billy IdolThis song demonstrates what I love about 80's music, the tempo changes. I love how the song starts out slow and then gets stronger and more powerful.
