Thanks Mom and Dad!

When I went back to working nights again in May, my mom and dad began watching my kids from 1pm-5pm, four days a week. Lauren and Jamie LOVE going over there and Pa-Pa and Grandma always have something up their sleeves to keep the kids entertained. I got this picture on my phone with a re-assurance that the kids were happy, everyone was happy!
I know that it isn't always easy, but thanks mom and dad for taking care and loving our kids just as much as we do! The kids thank you too...don't these big smiles proove it?

My NOT so little girl!

I've been meaning to post this for a while. I guess many thoughts of my little girl heading off to Kindergarten later this month has reminded me of this special event. Here is a picture of Lauren's first lost tooth! This exciting day occurred on May 16, 2009:
Here is the first picture of tooth-less Lauren and her favorite brother, Jamie:
A few days later, the other bottom tooth also fell out. Here is no-bottom teeth Lauren:
A few days later, she had her year-end dance recital. Still pretty, even tooth-less:
What a poser! Now WHERE does she get that from!
Sure do love YOU!
I may need to create a support group for myself for Lauren's first day of school, I am not sure if I can handle it!! I shed tears of pride at every dance recital, and even with each tooth lost!! I am just so proud of this little girl. It is just hard to watch her grow up! She has always been my sweet little buddy, who rarely causes any trouble. She is a fun-loving little chatterbox who just HAS to be the center of attention and is always making us laugh. She is cuddly and thoughtful and loves to be helpful. She has been known to torture her brother, but they also play together really well too. Love you Lars! Don't grow up too much faster!!

Everybody loves the 4th of July!

Right? I mean who doesn't just LOVE the 4th of July! This year it fell on a Saturday so Discover Card paid us to be off on Friday. So Matt and I and the kids were home all day together Friday, and that NEVER happens. The exciting event of the day was FINALLY getting our shutters! We have waited for 6 months for these babies! It is great to have privacy, and now my bedroom is almost pitch black! **For those LA relatives, it is similar to the dungeon room at Maw-Maws, and it rocks!!**
We woke up on Saturday the 4th and headed up to Park City for an overnight trip with Matt's brother Greg and his wife Alex, Matt's sister Kristen and her husband Dave, Alex's mom, Claudia, Alex's sister Natalie and her hubby Rob, Alex's brother Daniel and his girlfriend Erin. Oh, and all the kiddos..Lauren and Jamie and my nieces Isabella and Maddy.

This was my first time riding the Alpine Slides and riding the Roller Coaster. It was a blast and the kids had soo much fun Here is my fam riding the ski-lift:
In front of us were Kristen and Dave and Greg and Alex and Bella:
A view of our hotel and the pool, from up in the air....
And the view from down into the valley from the top of the mountain:
Such great little kiddos...Alex with Isabella, Lauren, and Jamie. I just love pictures taken from the back, so sweet:
Kristen and Dave, baking in the sun:
Matt and Greg, brothers and best friends:
The kiddos didn't exactly ENJOY the waiting for the rides. These three were like the Three Muskateers...I am so glad we are family!
Isabella and Alex. The kids went all day without a nap, we ALL paid for it the next day, he he he!
After riding the rides, we chilled in our awesome and huge room and went for a swim. Here is Jamie waiting to go to the pool. From the side, you can see he still has those chubby cheeks that he was so famous for!
The girls got a kick out of Alex's brother, Daniel. Thanks for the entertainment Daniel!
We finished up the night watching the fireworks. I brought some "Poppers" and the kids had fun throwing them while waiting for the show, and uh, not so much fun sharing them!
Bella had her special chair and her special dad!
Kristen and Dave snuggled up waiting for the fireworks.
Me and my honey, extreme closeup! We laughed about this being our 15th July 4th together! And still kickin'!
Matt entertained Jamie by tossing him in the air, and he LOVED it. Obviously!
I just adore that smile! After the fireworks, we got in our PJs..the girls had matching Jammies that I had bought them. Oh, they thought they were so cool! And we did too!!
The plan was for them all to share a bed, sadly they didn't make it through the night..but they did stop for a second to pose for a "fake sleeping" pic. Nice fake-sleep-face Jamie, who sleeps with cereal IN their mouth?? Yup, he would be mine! Here is a picture of the fireworks...Everyone loves the 4th of July, right? Oh, I sure do. It always makes me realize how wonderful life is, and how I have so much to be grateful for. Like being surrounded by family thatI love so very much, or maybe just being thankful that I finally have a digital camera, even if the date says July 5th on all my July 4th pics. Life is great! And special thanks to Greg and Alex...all of our fun times recently involve you! Is this a theme? I hope so!
